Validity of Euphrates River Water within Anbar Governorate, Iraq

This study focusses on the evaluation of Euphrates River in Al-Anbar Governorate, through monthly collection water samples for a full year from twelve stations extending Al-Qaiem to Ameria. Because is source residents surrounding areas, therefore, continuous during close periods necessary. Accordingly, 144 were analyzed and their chemical physical properties determined. The results showed that calcium sodium are dominant positive ions, whereas, sulfates negative ions. general clear cloudy water, low alkaline, fresh highly mineralized excessively very hard normal sulfate oligosulfate water. All within first class Piper diagram represented by Ca2+ - Mg2+ Cl- SO42- fall category V (Mixing zone), except two sites districts Rawa Anah. achieves balance between anions cations, one does not exceed other concentration. According cluster analysis method, hydrogeochemical facies Ca2+-SO42- K+; Na+; HCO3-. show suitable drinking, livestock feeding, growing all kinds crops.
